I reckon you're right Warren. I think the ears really improve the character as a whole (definitely improve his silhouette). I hope I have interpreted what you were meaning correctly. Either way, these should be pretty straight forward to model, and will involve a separate unwrap to the rest of his body. We'll just need to be conscious of the joins when texturing.
